What insurance companies do you repair for? We repair for all insurers, when you call to lodge your claim - just advise the insurer that Rise Again Smash Repairs is your preferred repairer.  How long will it take to get my car fixed? Depending on the damage to your vehicle, repairs can take anywhere from a day or two, to a week. When we provide your estimate to repair- we will advise a time frame for repairs, and offer the use of one of our courtesy vehicles.  Do you have loan cars? Yes, currently we have three courtesy vehicles - two manuals, and an automatic. We happily provide this service at no cost to you.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

When seeking an estimate, we recommend clients bring thier vehciles in to be inspected, it is often difficult to provide an estimate without seeing the condition of a vehicle requiring repair.  For local customers we may be able to travel onsite to inspect vehicles by appointment.   For insurance repairs - If a customer has the claim number already, this will speed up the quoting process. Having said that, not everyone has dealt with insurance companies before -  so we can also provide assistance in contacting your insurance company :)

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Tips ot save money repairing your vehicle... prevention!!  1 keep it in good condition - if you spot a little rust patch, fix it before it becomes a BIG problem.   2 keep your car clean - things like bird droppings can eat into the finish of your paint, leading to fading, flaking and uneven surfaces - keeping it clean will reduce the liklihood of bird dropppings eating in to your paint  3. Insure your vehicle - an excess and premium is often a lot less than a big hit!

How do you normally charge for your service?

As with most vehicle repairers, we charge on hourly rate, plus parts and consumables.   We provide an estimate, you accept the estimate, we work to the estimate.   In the rare instance that there is going to be any difference from the estimate -  Generally, we advise you when submitting the estimate if we think there could be underlying damage that is not visible prior to repair. If we do find further damage once we get into the vehicle - we contact you to advise prior to proceeding.    .

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

Rise Again Smash Repairs does, as the name implies - smash repairs, we perform accident repair for private and insurance customers, as well as larger vehicle repairs (trucks, buses etc),but thats not all we do.  We specialise in vehicle restoration, that is, bringing tired old cars back to their former glory. We generally only have one or two restorations in progress any given time, as they are quite time consuming.

Zac, the owner of Rise Again Smash Repairs has been repairing vehicles for over 12 years. He is a fully qualified panel beater, with extenstive experience not only in smash repair, but also in restoring classic vehicles.  We employ two other qualified tradesmen, a second tradesman panel beater, a tradesman painter, as well as an apprentice painter and apprentice panel beater.  Our staff are up to date on the latest repair practices, and utilise the latest equipment and technology.
